How long does the entire process take?
From the interview day to receiving the final edited video, most projects take 3–6 weeks, depending on the length of the interview and the number of photos provided.
How long is the interview?
For The Shoreline Package (Single) and The Heart of the Ocean Package (Couple), the interview itself typically lasts about three hours, with breaks as needed. For The Deep Sea Package, filming takes place over two days—your individual interviews are completed on the first day, and the couple’s interview is filmed on a second day that fits your schedule.
Please note: setting up our professional equipment at the start takes about an hour, and dismantling it at the end takes roughly the same amount of time. We take care to create the right atmosphere so you feel comfortable and the footage looks its very best.
Do you travel to conduct interviews?
Yes! We offer on-location filming in clients’ homes or other comfortable settings. Our primary service areas include Ocean and Monmouth County, NJ. For clients outside our primary service area, travel fees may apply.
Can you customize a package?
Absolutely! We’re here to make sure your legacy film is exactly how you want it. Depending on the time and effort required, there might be some additional costs, but don’t worry—we’ll chat openly and honestly about everything beforehand. Any details we agree on will always be clearly outlined in the paperwork before we move forward.
How do you handle privacy?
Your story is personal, and we treat it with the care it deserves. Your full legacy video will always remain private, shared only with you and your loved ones.
From time to time, we may ask if we can share a short clip to help others see what’s possible with a legacy video. If you say yes, we’ll hand-pick a meaningful moment and send it to you for approval before it’s ever posted.
Many clients are happy to share, but there’s never any pressure—if you’d rather keep every moment just for your family, we’ll honor that completely.
Can family members be part of the interview?
It can be tempting to include others, but we recommend keeping this time focused just on you. These videos are heartfelt gifts for your family, and having extra people around can make it harder to speak openly. The most genuine stories come from a comfortable, private setting. Of course, it’s your video, and we’ll support whatever feels right for you. But our friendly advice is to keep it just you for the most authentic story.
What if I don't want to answer certain questions?
No worries at all. Once you decide to move forward, we’ll send you a list of just over 100 questions to look over at your own pace. You can simply check off anything you’d rather skip.
This way, you’re only talking about what feels right for you—and it also gives you time to think about the memories, stories, and messages you’d love to share in your legacy video.
What if I mess up during the interview?
No worries at all—mistakes are completely normal and often add to the genuine feel of your story. We’ll take our time to ensure you’re comfortable, and the final edit will highlight the most meaningful moments. Plus, if you choose to include a bloopers reel, those lighthearted moments can add a fun, uplifting touch that brings warmth and laughter to your legacy video.
What if I say something I don’t want in the final video?
That’s completely fine! You’re in full control of your story. Just let us know what you’d like removed, and we’ll make sure it doesn’t appear in the final video.
In the final product, will we hear or see you asking the questions?
Not at all! In the finished video—except for the optional Bloopers section—only your voice and story are featured. This is all about you, and you’re the star of your legacy film.
What should I wear?
Wear something you feel comfortable in. Avoid pure white or black tops, as well as clothing with small, busy patterns, since these don’t translate well on camera. Solid, medium-toned colors tend to look best on video and help keep the focus on you.
What form of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, personal checks, Venmo, and Zelle. To reserve your session, we kindly request a non-refundable deposit of one-third of the total cost at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of filming.
